Error Code E FF
Defect of BLDC fan motor for freezer
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FF
How to Fix
- 1
Power cycle the unit and enter Test Mode 1 (press TEST button once on Main PCB).
- 2
Open the freezer door and check for airflow from the fan; if airflow is present and windy, go to step 5.
- 3
If no airflow, manually rotate the fan blade by hand. If the fan feels sticky or seized, replace the fan motor.
- 4
If fan rotates freely, measure motor supply voltage at CON4 20th Pin to 19th Pin in Test Mode 1; expected 11.4 to 12.6V.
- 5
If motor supply voltage is not present (not 11.4–12.6V), replace the Main PCB.
- 6
If supply voltage is correct, measure fan feedback voltage at CON4 18th Pin to 19th Pin; expected signal (not 0 or 5V fixed).
- 7
If feedback voltage is 0V or 5V (fixed), replace the freezer fan motor.
- 8
If feedback is correct, measure PWM voltage at CON4 17th Pin to 19th Pin; expected not fixed 0 or 5V.
- 9
If PWM voltage is fixed 0V or 5V, replace the Main PCB.
- 10
If all voltages are correct, explain normal operation to customer.
